Why are digital downloads more expensive than prints?

When you purchase a digital download, you are also purchasing the rights to do whatever you wish under the personal use license.  At that point, you own the image and can print or post as many times as you wish.  When you purchase prints, you do not have those same rights.  Any re-prints must be purchased and completed by us.

Can’t I just print my own photos? Why should I purchase prints?

When you purchase prints from us, you are getting nothing but the highest quality.  Every image is optimized to get the best results.  Once optimized, it is professionally printed using industry leading printers and ink.  This results in stunning results that would be hard to match using local print kiosks.

If you still would like to print your own , you absolutely can when you purchase a digital download of your image.  When you purchase a digital download, you also purchase a personal use license which allows you to print the image as many times as you would like.

Which resolution should I download?

In today’s digital age, there are many things that can be done with your digital image.  We offer several different resolutions so you can download  the image that best suits your needs.

Low Resolution Image:  These images are best used for e-mail and internet posts (i.e. website images).  Their smaller file size ensures that you will not run into problems with file size limitations.  These images also load much faster on websites due to their smaller file size.  These images are not suited for printing due to the lower quality.  Printing these images wouldn’t give the best results.

Medium Resolution Image:  These images work well for e-mail and internet posts.  These images have a larger file size due to the higher quality.  Though unlikely, the larger file size may result in problems when posting or e-mailing.  Printing these images will give you much better results than the low resolution image, but would not provide the best possible printed image.

High Resolution Image:  These images can be used for printing and provide great quality for digital viewing.  These images will have the larger file size.  Some e-mail systems and websites may prohibit files of this size to be e-mailed or posted without  resizing the image.  Some websites will resize the image for you during the upload process, but may result in a major loss in quality.

Full Resolution Image:  These images are the best of the best.  These images are best suited for printing.  These images will have the largest file size.  Some e-mail systems and websites may prohibit files of this size to be e-mailed or posted without  resizing the image.  Some websites will resize the image for you during the upload process, but may result in a major loss in quality.
